My personal experience

I booked online two days before and just went at 2 pm.

I was with chef Nancy and it was just me and her. To be honest, I went on a Saturday afternoon thinking I won’t be by myself. Turns out, I had a private class and a nice chat with the chef. They usually have groups of up to 6 people, couples, and groups of friends. As I am traveling alone, I was hoping to maybe meet people, it’s definitely a good laugh to share and compare who does the best. Sadly, with the current political situation in January 2023, there are still very few tourists…

Even alone, I had a very nice afternoon, I was happy with my causa de pollo, the pisco is also always a big win (I will have to do it for my friends once back home) and the classic ceviche tasted good. Don’t eat too much at lunch before going there (a small snack is good), as those will fill you up. Nancy was super nice, we chatted all the time, except when I ate haha.

They really take care of you as the team prepares the ingredients, and do the clean-up when you taste your own dish. They take a few photos for souvenirs and help you if you have no idea if your dish needs more of one specific ingredient or not! It’s not always the same chef as they rotate depending on the days so you might not meet Nancy.

Saha rooftop is a cute place. The environment is nice and relaxing as well.

After the experience, they will send by email your photos and the recipe in .pdf for everything you cooked. You will also get a little certificate.

Did I forget something? Feel free to share more about them and your own experience in the comments!
